Is Baby Carrier Free ergonomic for my child?
Yes! Baby Carrier Free is ergonomic and provides your baby with the correct support for their back, legs and hips. The width of the seat area is adjustable to ensure that your baby is always sitting comfortably. Naturally, you can also adjust the sturdy head and neck support to suit your baby perfectly.
Can I use Baby Carrier Free for my newborn?
Yes, you can use Baby Carrier Free for your newborn (7 lbs/3.2 kg), and no extra infant insert is necessary. Please remember that the leg straps should be used to reduce the size of the leg openings for babies between 7 and 9 lbs (3.2 and 4.5 kg). Baby Carrier Free then “grows” with your child and can be used up to the age of 15 months (26.5 lbs/12 kg).
If you mainly want a baby carrier to use for your newborn, we also suggest Baby Carrier Mini.
Can I carry my child in the facing-out position with Baby Carrier Free?
Baby Carrier Free is well suited for carrying in the facing-out position, but please remember that your child should be at least five months old and able to hold their head up unaided when you carry in this position.
Can I use Baby Carrier Free to carry my child on my back?
No. If you’re looking for a baby carrier for back carrying, then Baby Carrier One or Baby Carrier One Air, or Baby Carrier Harmony are ideal!

We’re constantly developing and improving our baby carriers. Compared to our discontinued Baby Carrier Miracle, Baby Carrier Free features an improved back support, padded shoulder straps that make longer babywearing sessions more comfortable, and a wider seat area for your baby.

Can I machine wash the baby carrier?
Yes, it’s super easy to clean—just toss it in the wash on warm (40°C). While the baby carrier can handle frequent washing, let's do our part for the planet: use lower wash temperatures and don't over-wash. For minor stains, a quick brush-off usually does the trick. Plus, our products are free from any harmful levels of substances, so there's no need to wash them before their first use.
Is it safe for my baby to suck on the baby carrier?
Yes, we've chosen to certify our materials under either Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, Ö 07-091, RISE, Class 1, or bluesign® Grade A – for products designed for babies and close-to-skin contact. This means that they’re kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste. These certifications set exceptionally high bars to ensure that no harmful levels of chemicals find their way into products meant for your little ones.
