The soft cotton mix is a durable cotton and polyester blend providing soft, strong quality.
Cool and breathable mesh fabric
The mesh fabric is the ideal choice for a warmer climate. The breathable mesh fabric keeps both you and your baby pleasantly cool and comfortable. The main fabric is our specially developed 3-D mesh with excellent breathability and moisture-transporting qualities. It also dries rapidly after washing.
Pure and soft organic cotton
Caring for the next generation. The organic cotton is grown and manufactured in compliance with strict environmental regulations. It is certified in accordance with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), the most widely recognized international standard for organic textile manufacturing.
Tested and safe
All fabrics are kind to your baby’s delicate skin and completely harmless to taste. They are approved in accordance with Oeko-Tex Standard 100, class 1 for baby products, which guarantees that they are free from harmful and allergenic substances. The fabrics also meet both European and American safety standards.

It started with a bouncer
Björn Jakobson's nephew Nisse, now in his 50s, was the first child in Europe to use a BABYBJÖRN bouncer.
Babysitting can have unexpected consequences for a young student. For Björn Jakobson, it was the prelude to his life's work, BabyBjörn AB. During a trip to the U.S. in the 60s, Björn saw a bouncer and brought it home to his nephew Nisse, whom he would babysit often. Nisse liked the bouncer right away.
Nisse's mother, Björn's sister-in-law Elsa, also liked the bouncer. She could have her hands free while Nisse played or slept in the bouncer. Bouncers were not available in Sweden, so Elsa and Björn started a company to produce bouncers for Swedish babies.
Björn found a supplier in Gnosjö, in southern Sweden, to produce the frame, while the seat was sewn from fabric remnants. Production got started, but sales were miserable. Nobody wanted to buy a bouncer until Björn and Elsa came up with the idea of asking doctors to take a look. The opinions were very positive, which resulted in several articles in Swedish newspapers. Demand soon soared.
The bouncer remains one of our most beloved products. Millions of children have sat in a BABYBJÖRN bouncer since the first model was launched over 50 years ago. Children like sitting and rocking where they can see their parents. And parents appreciate having their hands free as they keep an eye on their child in the bouncer. The appeal of bouncers hasn't changed.
