Regarding recent warnings from CPSC
The Consumer Product Safety Commission’s (CPSC) warning relative to Sling Carriers for babies does not apply to BabyBjörn Baby Carriers. The CPSC has no such issue with the safety of BabyBjörn Baby Carriers, which are tested to meet rigid ASTM International standards and are certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA). All BabyBjörn Baby Carriers position infants so that their head and neck are supported and upright to reduce the risk of airway obstruction. In addition, BabyBjörn recommends that babies should face in as infants, as when an infant is facing the wearer’s chest the parent can feel their breath, know where the infant’s head is positioned and change the infant’s head position easily to ensure the baby’s airway is open.
All BabyBjörn Baby Carriers have been developed in close cooperation with medical experts to give parents peace of mind knowing that they are choosing the best for their baby. Doctors at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, widely recognized as one of America’s top children’s hospitals, have tested and recommend BabyBjörn Baby Carriers as they hold baby in a healthy position that supports infants’ head, neck, spine and hips.
