  • When can my child start using BABYBJÖRN Cup?

Your child may begin using BABYBJÖRN Cup as his/her first cup from about 8 months (the age varies a bit, however, as children’s development is individual). The easy-to-grip shape and surface make it simple for small hands to lift and hold the cup, while a robust foot and a rubber rim on the bottom make it stabile and hard to knock over.

HELPFUL HINT! To begin with, an adult can feed the child/hold the cup. When the child starts showing an interest and has the motor skills to hold the cup, it’s natural for him/her to try this on his/her own. In the beginning, your child will love experimenting. By adding small amounts of fluid at a time, a little spilling will become a natural part of learning.

  • What materials is BABYBJÖRN Cup made of?

Polypropylene (PP) and Thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). The plastics are certified food-safe and comply with safety regulations both in Europe (EEC) and the USA (FDA). The product is PVC-free and does not contain bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, cadmium, lead, bromine or chlorine.

    Moreover, the plastic is recyclable.

At BabyBjörn we want you to feel certain that you’ve chosen a product that is both functional and safe. To help you feel secure in your choice, we have begun labeling our plastic products "BPA-free".

  • Is BABYBJÖRN Cup certified food-safe?

    Yes.

  • How much can the cup hold?

The cup holds 3.4 oz/100ml and has graduated markings at 50, 75 and 100ml.

  • Can the cup be used in microwave oven?

Yes, BABYBJÖRN Cup is perfect for use in a microwave oven, to warm food or beverages. However, don’t forget to stir: heating in a microwave can result in uneven temperatures.

NOTE! Do not use heat sources other than a microwave oven.

HELPFUL HINT! The inside bottom of the cup is rounded to work with BABYBJÖRN Spoon, making it easy to reach and scoop up all the food.

  • Is it OK to put my BABYBJÖRN Cup in the freezer?

Yes, BABYBJÖRN Cup is freezer-safe and thus can be placed in the freezer.

  • How do I clean BABYBJÖRN Cup? Is it OK to put it in the dishwasher?

BABYBJÖRN Cup may be washed by hand or in the dishwasher.

  • Will the cup survive being dropped on the floor?

Yes, BABYBJÖRN Cup is made of durable plastic that will withstand bumps and knocks, such as being dropped on the floor.

  • Can I use the cup straight out of the package?

Wash the cup with mild dish soap or in the dishwasher before using it for the first time.

  • What accessories do you have for BABYBJÖRN Cup?

BABYBJÖRN Plate and Spoon, BABYBJÖRN Soft Bib, BABYBJÖRN Eat and Play Smock and BABYBJÖRN High Chair.
