The BABYBJÖRN Comfort Carrier should be washed separately, warm (40 °C). If possible, use a gentle, bleach-free detergent. Do not tumble dry.

The flexible carrying positions – normal and wide leg position – makes it a belt carrier that allows for carrying baby facing inward and forward.

The wide position brings the baby closer to parent’s body when facing inward, which reduces the weight and makes it comfortable to carry the child for longer periods.

The Normal position allows for freedom of movement as well as carrying the child facing forward. The child can be carried comfortably facing forward up to 12kg/26lbs.

You can easily lift your baby out of the BABYBJÖRN Comfort Carrier by loosening the sidestraps which encreases the space around the baby.

No. The BABYBJÖRN Comfort Carrier is designed to be used exclusively as a front carrier (on your chest/stomach) and cannot be used to carry your child on your back.

We don’t recommend any particular length of time for carrying your child in our baby carriers. You’re the parent! It’s important that you keep an eye on your child’s signals and make sure to vary his/her position.

It’s easy to go from carrying your child facing inward, or tummy-to-tummy, to facing outward so that he/she can look around. In both cases, you lower your child from above in the baby carrier’s “carrying pouch.” The child’s arms should be placed through the armholes. Facing outward, use the normal leg position and fold down the head support so that your child’s view is not obstructed.

The BABYBJÖRN Comfort Carrier is developed and tested for babies over three months of age, at least 55cm/21inches and 6kg/13Ibs. It must not be used for newborn babies or babies weighing less than 6 kg. Please note: We strongly advise against the use of any infant inserts or other similar baby articles together with our products, since they are neither designed nor tested for this purpose.

For your newborn baby we recommend our BABYBJÖRN Baby Carriers: Original, Air, Active, or Synergy. They are developed and tested in cooperation with pediatricians in order to offer an ideal design for the newborn baby (minimum 3,5 kg)
