Will my child be safe in BABYBJÖRN High Chair?
Yes. The high chair’s safety table should be fastened close to the child’s body. Then, the child will be seated both stably and safely in the high chair, without being able to get up. The childproof, two-step locks also prevent children from opening and closing the high chair, or from folding it into transport mode.

How does the high chair’s table work?
The safety table serves as a safety lock and should be secured snugly against the child’s body so that he or she cannot get up. When closed, the table can be adjusted to various positions by pressing the red adjustment button on the bottom of the safety table.

Your stuff is fantastic!
"It's not often that there is a need to write positive feedback these days but I'd just like to say that your products are absolutely superb ! My wife and I had a baby 7 months ago and went through the usual trial and error with baby bouncers with straps etc. Our daughter hated them all, hated being strapped down. We eventually found your Babysitter balance bouncer. Our daughter loved it. We have two of those now, a baby carrier and a few months ago, we didn't even look at other makes for a high chair, we went straight for yours. The design is so simple on all your products and avoids the need for pointless restrictive straps. The extra cost is irrelevant."

Why a high chair?
While mealtime can be the most precious time of the day for a family, it doesn’t come without its challenges. In our mission to simplify everyday life for families with small children, we’ve developed a new product to make mealtime with little ones safe and enjoyable.
Falls cause the most common injuries to small children — and high chairs and changing tables are involved frequently. That’s why at the beginning of the 21st century, the Swedish Consumer Agency encouraged BabyBjörn to develop a safe high chair that would prevent children from standing up (and falling out). Creating just the right product was no easy task.
What did we do?
We started by studying both the design of various high chairs and the behavior of children sitting in them during mealtime. From our findings, we developed a prototype to test with families and pediatricians. The first prototype was for children who could sit unaided (from 6 months to around 3 years), and came without a table. With safety, user-friendliness and our Swedish roots in mind, we chose to design the chair using plastic, which is strong, durable and easy to clean. We created the chair to take up minimal space, and made it easy to collapse when putting it away or taking it on the road.
After much testing, we weren’t satisfied. So, we created a new prototype. To keep children from standing and falling out of the high chair, we added a foldout, adjustable table. The table works as a safety lock that holds the child securely in place without a harness. We gave the high chair an encircling design, with a curved back support and adjustable, shell-shaped table that ensures that the child sits comfortably and securely. The design also simplified use for the parent. It’s easy to place the child in the high chair and take him or her out with no high lifting. To make it simple to clean we provided the high chair with easy-clean surfaces and a detachable tray that can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher. We made sure it would protect against spills by making the table adjustable to fit snugly against the child’s body.
Because children are naturally curious and eager to learn, the high chair was designed to allow the child to sit at the table with everyone else. This encourages social and linguistic development, and makes it easier and more enjoyable for the child to learn to eat and drink for him or herself.
BABYBJÖRN High Chair
The entire process from concept to finished product took about eight years. The project was put on hold after about two years so that we could trouble-shoot and find the safest solution to hold the child securely in the chair. Still, we forged on and made new prototypes to test with families. The result is the BabyBjörn High Chair, a high chair designed to make mealtime more enjoyable and safe.
