Safe plastics

BabyBjörn’s plastic products are completely free from bisphenol A (BPA).

In recent years, the risks associated with plastic products containing BPA have been highlighted by various health organizations (among others, the US federal agency the National Institutes of Health).
BPA is an industrial chemical mainly used in the production of polycarbonate plastic.
Polycarbonate plastic is not used in any of BabyBjörn’s products.
Our kitchen and bathroom products are completely free from PVC, phthalates, cadmium, lead, bromine and chlorine.
Our kitchen range has also been certified safe for foods and complies with the safety standards for plastics both in Europe (ECC) and the USA (FDA).
Here at BabyBjörn, we want you to be certain that you have chosen both a functional and safe product.

To ensure that you feel safe in your choice, we’re starting to mark our plastic products as ”BPA free”.
